The Sunbeds (Regulation) Act 2010 came into force on 8 April 2011. In February 2011, the Government made a firm commitment to increasing the health visitor workforce by 4,200 by 2015. This is to be implemented through the Health Visiting Implementation Programme, which aims to deliver a new service vision for improving the health and well-being of children, families and communities.
